We are members of several networks that nurture our continuos learning and allow us to stay abreast of new policy developments and advancements in our research and practice areas. Networks are also crucial venues for us to develop new partnerships and collaborations.
The Society of Gender Professionals (SGP) is an international association of gender practitioners, academics, and activists dedicated to promoting feminist action and applied research, and raising the profile of gender expertise around the world.
A great network for us to connect with and learn from peer advocates and experts on gender equality.
Gender Equal Cities brings together cities, researchers and partner organisations like CEMR to examine the reasons for ongoing structural and political inequalities in cities. It makes the case for the specific role of local authorities to drive positive change through gender-sensitive policy-making. We have been contributing to this network in the past 4 years joining several mutual learning sessions on feminist urban development and contributing to the Gender Equal Cities Report 2019 .
Promoted by the European Commission, the former Smart Cities European Innovation Partnership is now connecting local authorities with IT solution providers, researchers and consultants, civil society organizations.
We have been contributing chairing the Citizen Focus Action cluster, co-writing the Citizen Engagement Solutions Booklet, promoting the Inclusive Smart Cities Manifesto, and currently with an advisory role on civic participation as a key component of urban innovation to achieve sustainability.
